HotJot Notes is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We believe your notes and files are yours alone. Because of how the App is built, we do not have access to your personal content.

The App allows you to create, save, and organize personal notes, including (but not limited to) text, photos, videos, and files.

• Ownership: You own all rights to your content.
• Access: We do not collect, view, or store your content on our servers. Your content is stored locally on your device and, if enabled by you, backed up to your personal iCloud account.
• No Sharing: Because we do not have access to your content, we cannot and do not share it with any third parties.

Automatically Collected Information

To help us understand how the App is performing and which features are most useful, we may collect anonymous usage statistics. This may include:

• Feature Usage: Information on which tools or buttons are used (e.g., "Note created" or "Export used").
• Device Information: The type of device you are using and your operating system version.
• Note: This data is used solely for app improvement and is not linked to your personal content or identity.

Data Storage and Portability

• Export: HotJot Notes provides tools for you to export your content to a location of your choice at any time.
• Backups: Your content may be backed up to your personal iCloud account based on your device settings. This process is managed by Apple; we do not have access to your iCloud data.

How We Use Information

We use the minimal information we collect (usage statistics) to maintain and improve HotJot Notes' functionality, identify and fix technical bugs, and inform future development of new features.

We NEVER use your content for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose.

Data Retention

• User Content: We do not retain any of your content on our servers. If you delete a note from your device and your backup, it is gone.
• Usage Statistics: We retain anonymous usage data only as long as necessary to analyze app performance.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
